I've thrown this idea out to the general before, and gotten some positive feedback on it, so I'm officially going to start taking registrations for it.
What this event will entail, will be of a similar nature to the friend-off, except everyone will be working in a 'string' of stories and pictures.
To sign up, all you'd have to do, is tell me you want to participate, and if you draw or write. That's it.
After everyone's all signed up and we begin (hell, you can even register after we start, no reason why not), I'll start off with a new picture that's never been released, and no one's seen before.
This picture will be sent to a random person signed up as a write person around midnight Eastern. They'll have until midnight the next day to send back a quick story about that picture. What's going on, the events, characters, et cetera.
This quickfic will be sent, by itself, to a random draw person signed up for the event, and they'll have until midnight the next day to do up a sketch or drawing of the events in the quickfic, then send it back.
A new random write person will be picked, and just the new picture will be sent to them. This process will continue until we run out of participants.
After the month-or-so that this will go on, everything will be uploaded on a page, in order, to see how an idea can change and morph as it goes through the minds of everyone participating in the MLPG.
Specifics will be hammered out as time wears on, but each participant shouldn't feel super pressured about contributing to the event, as you'll only have to work on it for a day!
Participants will be trusted to not share their works or what they received with anyone else until we're all done, since it would be best to get an unaltered idea flow.
Thanks to LK for the initial idea, and if anyone is interested in signing up, please send me an e-mail with just your name, and whether you're arting or writing, to mlpglethallin@gmail.com.
Start time WILL BE ON JULY 1st, and late sign ups WILL be allowed.
Hopefully the end result and participating will be enjoyable for all!
